No School Day /01
In the past, no school days meant, “I can take the boys to train.”
If I’m honest with myself, if I was my kid, I’d probably be pissed about it too. Sorry Kai for being annoyed at you for being annoyed that I made you train lol.
No school days need to be about connecting. Yes, it’s healthy to take them out and move their bodies. But it might be even healthier to just let them be kids.
Not everything needs to be training.
Or a challenge.
Or a lesson.
Sometimes it’s better to just exist in that moment in time. Let them be kids. But also let yourself be a chill dad.
Extra Sh*t That Happened
Today I learned that Kai already knew about a song I had discovered that very morning.
Culture really does travel fast.
Kaleb mimicking the Cat while we enjoy donuts. I really enjoy these types of moments at the donut shop.
Went to the library to look for spooky books before spooky season. The boys enjoyed kids section, and they even made a new friend.
DBZ x Burger King for lunch.
